Stop fire ants from taking over your lawn with Ortho® Orthene® Fire Ant Killer1. This easy-to-apply product destroys the mound and kills the queen. Plus, this pest control product begins killing in 60 minutes, so you can get your yard back fast. Use it as a mound treatment for home lawns and around ornamental plants including flowers, shrubs and trees. To apply, simply sprinkle powder over the mound. Follow label instructions to determine how much product is needed based on mound size. This product does not need to be watered in, and can be applied anytime you see a new mound forming. For best results, apply product while ants are active. This pack includes two 12 oz. bottles of Ortho® Orthene® Fire Ant Killer1; each treats up to 162 mounds. To keep fire ants at bay, use as part of the Ortho® 2-Step System with Ortho® Fire Ant Killer Broadcast Granules (sold separately) as a second step to prevent new mounds from forming for up to 6 months.

Orders are typically processed within 2–4 business days after they are placed. Processing includes order verification, packing, and handoff to the carrier.
Once your order has shipped, delivery within the U.S. typically takes 2–4 business days, depending on the carrier and the delivery address. Combined processing + transit time may vary; please allow up to 10 business days in rare cases (holidays, carrier delays, weather).
We offer free standard shipping on orders of $50 or more (after discounts, before tax).
Orders under $50 will be charged standard shipping rates at checkout, calculated based on weight and destination.
All orders include tracking. After your order ships, you will receive a shipment confirmation email with a tracking number and carrier information so you can follow delivery status.
If your tracking shows delivered but you did not receive the package, please check with household members and any delivery location (porch, garage, neighbor).
